🟨🔵 NORWICH 2-4 WBA
FAYC game at Carrow Road.
WBA more boring, but got the job done. A bit surprised at the lack of individual quality of that Norwich side both sides of the ball.
Norwich 1-0 up early from a DFK, then WBA 1-2 after 20′ then 1-3.
Glimmer of hope when Norwich went back to 2-3 (missed the goal as my scones fell from the empty seat). Bostock sealed the 2-4 with a well taken goal, creating value from beyond the goal frame.
🔵Standing out for WBA:
11: Oliver BOSTOCK:tall direct winger with eye for goal and helping out defensively.
9: Rio PARMAR led the line, box movement on crosses and a few layoffs
10: Cole DEEMING with a nice left foot to connect mid length passes around the corner
8: Idrissa DAUDA had good problem solving skills to receive and connect with attackers, one to watch
7: Divine ONYEMACHI stayed on the ball in final third and followed up on rebounds in the box
🟨 for Norwich
I liked
10 : Elliot MYLES with a nice technical touch and variety on set piece delivery.
7 : La’sean SEALEY was consistently causing trouble 1v1 outside and was the go to option in attack.
I thought Lloyd OFORI-MANTEAW struggled both sides of the ball as DM.
The back 4 displayed a range of skills that don’t include defending. Fairly lose to keep markers.
Fullbacks Finlay OLIGBO scored the free kick very early. Vatan OZCAN with a few carries inside the pitch from LB.
ADELUSI the CB, keen to defend front foot but not keeping his marker tight no matter how close to the goal they were.
