National League South – Matchday 45 – April 21

St Albans City come back level with Salisbury with 45pts and 1 game to go with a hard fought 1-0 win.
The stadium is right by the train station

Lots of diagonals fired without people really going after it, the game is live from second balls. And you get attackers with flair on the ball in two passes picking the best run they find fit to get the ball in the box.
Maximising what’s at disposal. Fullbacks got to be at least half decent at handling switches of play. St Albans with some flick ons with the three close forwards on long balls.

There’s a point where having a seat gives you a worse view of the proceedings.
For St Albans I liked the CB Longe-King, solid. Oliver Davis with his best Grealish impression, Zane Banton with a nice touch and good movement off the ball.

Ken Charles with runs in behind and the winning goal flicking on a deflected shot with his head.
Coached by Ian Culverhouse, former Paul Lambert assistant at Aston Villa in Premier League early 2010s

For Hemel Hampstead, I’m pretty sure I signed Mazeed Ogungbo the left back on a save on Football Manager. Chris Smith wearing the 9, some kind of free spirit libero in midfield ; why not will you ask
Mrs Stacey Pearson refereeing, football has made leaps and bounds to reach the point that people only really care if the referee is good or bad ; whoever they are.
